Unity SEO pricing

What it costs, what you get, and what we will tell you not to buy

Every service on this site is sold as one of four things: a fixed sprint, a fixed build, a monthly programme, or care. The price, the ceiling and the exclusions are all published, because a number without a ceiling is a quote and a quote is what we are trying to avoid.

All prices exclude VAT. Programmes £750–£4,500 per month. Sprints and builds are one-off.

Step one — free

The first step is a diagnosis, not a plan

The free audit gives you a scorecard across four dimensions, the three issues that matter most, who is beating you and on what signal, and one paragraph naming the package we would buy in your position. It takes five working days.

It does not include the full issue list, fix instructions, a keyword map or uplift estimates. Those are the paid audit — because a plan you can hand to anyone is the thing you are buying.

Four ways to buy

Pick the shape before the size

What you buy is set by what is wrong. Fix what is broken, build what is missing or cannot be fixed, grow what works, then keep it working. The free audit tells you which one you need.

Fix

One-off sprints

When something breaks, we quote the repair as a fixed job: fixed price, fixed deliverable count, fixed turnaround. No retainer, no discovery phase billed separately, no surprise.

Build

Build bands

When you need a new site, we build it to the published launch standard. It is priced by page type, not page count, because the page type is the unit of work. These are templated builds: the house design system and a defined page-type library, assembled. That is why a five-page site can cost £1,950 and still pass the launch standard — and why a bespoke design is a different conversation.

Every build includes the content model, the URL plan, a performance budget enforced at build time, WCAG 2.2 AA, structured data per route, and ownership in your name.

Keep

Care plans

Once it is working, this keeps it that way. Recurring tasks with an owner, a cadence and a named response time. Not hosting, not a retainer, and not a promise to look after the site.

Care Essentials

£95/month

The site stays up, patched and internally intact.

Response: Next business day

  • Dependency and security updates, tested on staging
  • Uptime and error alerting
  • Monthly broken-link and redirect crawl
  • Quarterly backup restore test
  • Monthly summary

Ceiling: 1 site · no content changes

Care Standard

£195/month

The site stays correct: fast, valid and findable, not just online.

Response: 8 business hours

  • Monthly field Core Web Vitals review against budget
  • Monthly structured-data and metadata validation
  • 1 hour of content support
  • Annual ownership and access audit

Ceiling: 1 site · 1 hour of content support · no structural work

Care Priority

£395/month

The site is watched on a four-hour clock, by a named person.

Response: 4 business hours; 1 hour for an outage

  • Everything in Standard
  • 4 hours of content support
  • Accessibility spot check on every release
  • Redirect map review after any URL change
  • Priority scheduling

Ceiling: 1 site · 4 hours of content support · no structural work

New sections, structural work, migrations and performance projects are separate projects at every tier. A care plan keeps a good build good; it is not a rebuild retainer.

Method

How the numbers are made

Planned work is priced at £650 a day. A build band is three, six or twelve of those days, sold as a fixed price. Unplanned work is priced at £750 a day, because moving the schedule has a cost that is not in the hours.

That difference is deliberate. It makes the scheduled route the cheaper one, so the conversation about extra scope happens before the work rather than after it.

When you ask for more

Change-request rates, agreed before work starts.
Out of scopeRate
An additional page of a type already in the build£120 per page
A new page type or component familyfrom £450
Work beyond the package ceiling£750 per day, half day £375
Rush turnaround, under 5 working days+25%

If the extras pass a quarter of the package price, we stop adding and re-quote against the next band. At that point you are buying a different job, and the honest move is to say so rather than issue a large surprise invoice.

Every engagement

What you get whatever you buy

The honest part

What we will not sell you

This section is here because the alternative is finding out later. It also filters out the projects that go wrong, which is worth more to us than the work would be.

  • A retainer, when the constraint is a technical fault. That is a sprint, and we will say so.
  • A rebuild, when a fix will do. We will show you which fix.
  • A £1,950 site described as a brand platform. The band is the band.
  • A ranking, a review count, or a date. Nobody can promise those, and the ones who do are guessing.
  • Links by the unit. You buy a campaign, or you buy nothing.
  • Work without the audit. It protects both sides and it costs you nothing.
  • A client whose expectation is that £750 a month buys a full-time marketer.

If you need the cheapest possible site, a fixed number of links, or a result next month, we will point you elsewhere rather than take the work and disappoint you.

Questions we are asked about price

How much does SEO cost in Norfolk?

Programmes run from £750 to £4,500 a month. One-off sprints are £450 to £2,500. Builds are £1,950 to £7,900. All prices exclude VAT. The free audit tells you which one you actually need — and we will tell you when the answer is none of them.

Why publish prices when other agencies don't?

Because a buyer comparing three quotes cannot compare three sets of adjectives. A published price with a stated ceiling tells you what you are buying and what happens when you ask for more. The risk is that our prices are public. The alternative, which most of the market chooses, is that the scope is not.

Can I buy a one-off instead of a monthly programme?

Yes. Nine sprints are sold on their own, from £450. Most clients start with one, see how we work and what the audit turns up, and move to a programme afterwards. We do not require a retainer to sell you a project.

What is not included?

Every package lists its exclusions on this page, and the same list appears in the written scope. Anything outside it becomes a change request at the published rates, or a different package. There is no discretionary "while we are here" work, because that is how fixed prices stop being fixed.

Do I have to take the free audit first?

For a sprint or a programme, yes — it costs you nothing and it stops us selling you a fix you do not need. For a build, we audit the existing site as phase one of the project instead, because a build has its own baseline to establish.

How long before I see results?

We do not promise a date, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Technical fixes can show in Search Console within days. Content and authority compound over months. What we will do is measure a baseline first and report what changed, including when nothing did.

Can I pay for a build monthly?

Builds are invoiced in three stages: on signature, at design sign-off, and at launch. We do not finance builds over twelve months, because the work is done in the first eight weeks.

What happens if I need more than the package covers?

It is quoted at the published change-request rates before anyone does it. If the extras pass a quarter of the package price, we stop adding and re-quote against the next package instead — because at that point you are buying a different job.

Is hosting included?

No. We arrange hosting in your name and hand over the credentials, so you own it and can leave with it. You pay the host directly. Care Standard and Care Priority include administering it for you.

Can I change package later?

Yes, at the end of any month once the minimum term is served. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades at the next billing date. The ceiling moves with the price, and we will say so in writing rather than discovering it mid-month.

Not sure which one?

That is what the audit is for. Five working days, no card details, and a recommendation you can act on or ignore.
