SEO Content Strategy

SEO Content Strategy

We plan the pages that make you the obvious expert in your field, so Google and AI trust you and quote you.

ServiceFAQPage

Content is the main thing that sets you apart in modern SEO. Google can now tell real expertise from a reworded summary. AI systems are picky about which sources they cite. The same rule applies to both. Here, content must show real knowledge, give real value, and be easy to pull answers from.

We build content plans that work for Google rankings and AI citations at the same time. Your content earns topical authority and meets E-E-A-T (the trust signals Google looks for) requirements. It also makes your business the go-to source in your market.

What Our Content Strategy Service Includes

Topical Map and Content Architecture We build a full map of every page you need to lead your topic. That means pillar pages, cluster articles, frequently asked questions (FAQ) content and support resources. The map covers every question your audience asks. It is ordered so your authority builds piece by piece.

E-E-A-T Content Development Every page we write shows all four E-E-A-T signals. Those are first-hand Experience, proven Expertise, Authoritativeness from citing primary sources, and Trust through accuracy and honesty. We do not publish generic AI content. We publish expert-written content that meets Google's September 2025 quality standards.

Citation Triangle Optimisation The Princeton GEO study found three things that lift AI visibility by 30–41%. (GEO stands for generative engine optimisation — getting named by AI tools.) We build all three into your content. They are figures from trusted sources, links out to primary research, and expert quotes with full credit.

AEO (answer engine optimisation) Content Formatting Every page is built so an AI tool can lift a clean answer from it. We use question-shaped headings. We open each piece with a paragraph that answers straight away. We also add FAQPage schema, which is code that labels your questions and answers for search engines. And we write clear "quotable sentences" that AI tools like to cite.

Author Strategy We help you build author pages and Article + Author schema. This puts a named human behind the work. It is the proof of expertise that Google's September 2025 Quality Rater Guidelines require.

Content Refresh and Maintenance We audit and update your existing content to today's standard. We add figures, fix outdated references, rewrite pages to answer questions up front, and add FAQPage schema where it fits.

Frequently asked questions

What is a topical map and why does it matter?

A topical map is the full set of pages your site needs to be considered an authority on your subject — pillar pages covering each main topic, cluster articles covering the questions underneath them, and the internal links between them. It matters because Google and AI systems both judge authority by depth of coverage: a site with thirty interlinked pages on local SEO will outrank and out-cite a site with one good page on the same subject, even if that single page is better written.

Will you write the content, or just the strategy?

Either. Strategy and topical map alone starts at £950 one-time, which gives you the architecture and priorities to execute yourself or hand to another writer. The production retainer starts at £650/month and covers 2–4 pieces a month end to end: strategy, research, writing, editing and schema. Most clients start with the map and move to production once they see the gap between it and what they currently publish.

Do you use AI to write the content?

AI assists with research and drafting, but nothing publishes without expert review and a named author. This is not a stylistic preference — Google's quality guidelines set a higher bar for content that affects someone's money or wellbeing, and unreviewed AI content on those topics is rated most harshly. The content you get is commissioned, verified and owned by a person.

I already have a lot of content. Do I need to start again?

Usually not. A content audit and refresh is often the faster route: we assess your existing pages against the current quality bar, update outdated statistics and references, restructure them for direct answers, and add schema where it is missing. That starts at £750 for up to 20 pages, and it is frequently the better first investment if you already publish regularly.

How long before content starts ranking and getting cited?

New content typically takes three to six months to gain traction, because authority accrues as the cluster fills out — early pieces do less on their own than the tenth one does. Refreshing existing pages often moves faster, in the region of four to eight weeks for structural and schema fixes, since those pages already have some history with Google.
